ABSOLUTE BEGINNER GROUP (GROUP LESSON, AGE 7+ || PRICE PER KID) The tinwhistle, a simple six-holed woodwind instrument, is often associated with traditional Irish music. Its straightforward design makes it one of the easiest musical instruments to learn and play, perfect for both beginners and seasoned musicians alike. Our experienced instructor Kirill, who has been playing tinwhistle since 2007, will guide your kids through holding their instrument, making first sounds, learning both octaves, starting to learn simple tunes, and eventually progress into more complex topics like ornamentation, rhythm We also use an Irish frame drum called bodhrán during the lesson, which helps kids develop their sense of rhythm, as well learn to play together (which is what Irish traditional music is all about!)
