Irish Trad Estonia
Céad míle fáilte!
A hundred thousand welcomes!

A community for Irish traditional music, song, and dance fans in 🇪🇪
While Irish traditional music has been played in Estonia since at least 1988, it is still not sufficiently well-known in our little corner of Northern Europe. This is why our mission is to share this unique musical culture within our country, so that more people become aware of it, like it, and want to play it, sing it, and/or dance to it!
Irish music is meant to be produced & enjoyed together, and it is also probably THE most popular type of traditional music in the world. Irish trad is played from San Francisco to Tokyo, and from Oulu to Sydney. This is why we truly believe that in today's world that becoming increasingly disconnected and fragile, there is nothing else like Irish trad that can bring us closer to each other -- in Estonia and across the planet!
Join us to learn, play, sing, dance, and immerse yourself in the captivating world of Irish traditional music (also known affectionately as "trad"). From instrument & singing lessons to pub music sessions, we offer a complete experience for those seeking to embrace the Irish musical legacy in Estonia.
And if you have never heard Irish trad before, you've come to the right place -- your journey starts here and now. We'll be privileged to be your guides to this amazing world!
What the feck is Irish Trad Estonia?

About our founder
My name is Kirill, and I'm Estonia's biggest fan of Irish traditional music :)
Kirill has been listening to Irish trad since 2002 -- that makes it 23 years to date! Bought his first tinwhistle in 2007, low whistle in 2012, and then both tenor banjo & bodhrán in 2022. Since then, he's been playing Irish trad non-stop. From 2024, member of a Tallinn-based trad band called O'Reel. Kirill also runs the Irish trad session in Tallinn, and likes to crash other sessions across the world, from San Francisco to Galway to Barcelona.
